Taylor Swift has finally unveiled the highly anticipated release date for "1989 (Taylor's Version)". The album, a re-recorded version of her original masterpiece released in 2014, will be available on October 27, 2023 – the ninth anniversary of the original release.
The announcement was made through a surprise post on X, the social media platform formerly known as Tumblr. "Surprise," Swift wrote on the platform. "1989 (Taylor's Version) will be out October 27th. This is a wild and beautiful dream come true."
In addition to the main album, which will feature 16 songs from the original deluxe edition, "1989 (Taylor's Version)" will also include five bonus tracks from the "From the Vault" series. The exclusive "Tangerine" vinyl version of the album will include an additional bonus track, "Sweeter Than Fiction (Taylor's Version)."
