Kentucky Lands Transfer Forward Ansley Almonor
Former Fairleigh Dickinson Star Joins Wildcats' Roster

Kentucky's new head coach Mark Pope has added another piece to his roster with the commitment of Fairleigh Dickinson transfer Ansley Almonor.
The 6-foot-7 forward announced his decision on Instagram Thursday morning, writing, "I'm in control of my destiny. Never in doubt. Thank you FDU."
Almonor averaged 14.3 points and 8.1 rebounds per game for the Knights last season, and he is expected to be a key contributor for the Wildcats next season. He is a versatile player who can score inside and out, and he is also a good rebounder and defender.
Almonor's commitment is a big win for Pope, who is looking to rebuild Kentucky's program after a disappointing season. The Wildcats finished 9-16 last year, and they are looking to return to the NCAA Tournament in 2023.
With Almonor on board, Kentucky now has a solid foundation to build on. He is a talented player who can make an immediate impact, and he is also a good fit for Pope's system.
